Just delete Repair and other T1 costs because of the workstations

Once you get it started, you can amass literally thousands of materials and Extract them into thousands of T1 Essence, making it pointless to go out and earn T1 Essence, and making T1 Essence pointless as a currency.

Lighting should have brightness filters

Sometimes the wall sconces, chandeliers, and candles are -too- bright. It would be nice if they had a brightness adjustment feature if you want to town down the illumination in some areas for ambiance and brighten them in others (like workshops).
