I'm a returning player who has gotten to the Watch prior, coming back to the game after the New Reboot. Progression thru the storied realms is fine with clear main story quest then do site of power and fight boss for unlocking the next tier of stuff on your (P) Progression menu.
No issues with that format, up until the MOORS storied realm. I cleared the main questline, skipped the side quests and completed the requirements to get back to the Watch. I'm aware of the sellers of recipes there and that's fine but in the T3 menu for Undiscovered Skills those items are not available to unlock per buying with Essence, instead it gives a Nightingale blank card and says "Undiscovered Skill" and at the bottom, "Revealed by exploring the Realms".
I saw people using the charm of the Raven in the Apex content in the Watch and got my curious to find out how to get that charm and I couldn't find it on my progression menu. By talking to people on your Discord, they it was an unlock behind Poe's questline in the Moors. This totally break the sequence that was used in the storied realms prior which was do main quest, clear site of power, defeat boss and get next portion on progression menu unlocked. This feels very disjointed and unfair because its super unclear.
My recommendation is to just leave the name of the quest and the realm its in for the unlock if its not purchasable. "Revealed by Exploring the Realms" is terrible in my opinion since its really not just a physical recipe you randomly pick up during just casual exploration. You can do this in the progression menu right side bottom and its would be much more helpful for new and returning players.

On further Reflection, another option could put some of these buyable skills (hidden behind the Poe Questline) at the Essence Traders in the prior story zones which unlock after getting to the Watch or completing the main questline there. This gives a secondary non "hidden" quest unlock method to get these skills for players and follows the format given at the Watch with buying recipes. I totally agree with the other post about the Essence Traders are currently trash since the Realms Reboot and have no real helpful value as they were prior this option should help change that some.
